One best-selling author had the clever idea of giving back to his readers
– a book club at a time

Lafayette, CO, June 9, 2010 - John Shors is the kind of author who wants to give back.  It is his belief that when someone buys one of his books he ought to do something nice for them in return, so when the paperback version of his bestselling novel Beneath a Marble Sky was published, he put a letter in the back that invited book clubs to invite him to their events. Shortly thereafter, Shors was pleasantly surprised to get asked to join a couple of book clubs a week. Story Continues

Anthony Robbins and Cloe Madanes Offer Online Advanced Training in
"Strategic Intervention Coaching" for Helping Professionals

If you've ever wondered how to get the people in your life to make the positive changes they need, look no further. World renowned speaker and author Anthony Robbins and famed teacher of therapists Cloe Madanes have formed an advanced online training in their coaching and intervention method, called Strategic Intervention.

"This has been in development for years, and we're really proud of it," says Robbins. "For the last thirty years I've been working with people and helping them make lasting changes at an accelerated pace. Whether you're a coach, a therapist, a doctor, a lawyer, or any helping professional, this program will show you how to get through to people, how to read people accurately, and how to influence them with absolute integrity and positive impact."

"We've taken Tony's one-on-one interventions that he's conducted with individuals and couples live before an audience and we've analyzed and explained his work step-by-step so that you can see clearly how he achieves his amazing results," says Madanes. Robbins is well-known for his ability to help people overcome life-long problems within minutes or hours.

"You'll also see the participants years later and observe how they not only sustained the change, but were able to positively affect other people in turn," says Madanes. "These films are the basis of our online training, where we'll give you the skills needed to create accelerated change in others - whether they're clients, patients, in your workplace, or members of your family. The interpersonal strategies and dynamics are applicable in any relationship or professional environment.

Robbins has for over three decades been a recognized authority on the psychology of leadership, negotiations, organizational turnaround, and peak performance. Robbins has teamed up with NBC and "Biggest Loser" producer Reveille on a prime-time reality show, called "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins."

Madanes is one of the originators of the strategic approach to communication and intervention. She's credited with creating remarkably swift, effective, and successful solutions to the whole range of human challenges. She's been featured in Newsweek, Vogue, The Washington Post and has been a guest on Oprah.

"Strategic Intervention integrates elements from a variety of social sciences, business, and political perspectives in order to form a unified field of strategic practice," says Mark Peysha, CEO of Robbins-Madanes Training. "A Strategic Interventionist navigates a variety of scenarios, ranging from individual problems to those of the couple or family, peer or work group, and the larger organization. All these social units can be swiftly directed towards positive change if you know the right strategies." Why does Strategic Intervention work? "Because SI is based on the values of growing and contributing beyond yourself. You show someone with a challenge how to not only break through their problem, but also grow and contribute to others. That makes the solution not only stick, it creates a ripple effect to help even more people."

"We're creating a new standard for interpersonal communication and organizational skills," says Madanes. "Who will profit from this course? Anyone who relies on human communication in their life or career."

"As professionals, we must constantly grow. We can't help others get better if we're not always getting better," says Robbins. "Anyone who decides to participate in this program is in for a wild and enjoyable ride."

Robbins-Madanes Training will be opening enrollment to a new class in June 2010.  For more information, access a free online mini-course in Strategic Intervention featuring a series of Robbins-Madanes films at www.RobbinsMadanesCenter.com.

Audience members are the students in catechism class, and Patti Hannon is "Sister" in this hilarious interactive comedy. You better be on your best behavior, or else Sister is likely to put you in the corner‹on stage! Every performance is unique and will appeal to all, regardless of one¹s faith.

Late Nite Catechism II: Sometimes We Feel Guilty Because We Are Guilty
By Maripat Donovan, Ongoing; call for dates and times,
Stage 2, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Single ticket price: $36, That¹s right, the fun continues in Sister¹s second catechism class! You don¹t need to graduate from the first class to enjoy this one; Sister will give extra attention to her slower students. Sister has felt banners, a filmstrip, handouts, historical facts and hysterical insights to explain every nun¹s goal: getting into heaven and bringing along as many of the faithful as possible. Using a special version of Chutes and Ladders to demonstrate her point, Sister tells us where we¹ve gone wrong, and no one is excused from her firm belief that "sometimes we feel guilty because we are guilty."
