Died: 03-12-2001, at 21 years of age, in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.

Visitation was on Thursday, 03/15/2001 at Webber's Chapel. Services Friday, 03/16/2001 at AZUSA World Ministries, 5109 West Thomas Road Phoenix, Arizona. Published in The Arizona Republic on 03/15/2001.

Dawn T. Kuhns, 25, born & raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She went home to be with her heavenly Father on 08-10-2004. She is survived by her parents, Dan & Wendie Kuhns; sisters: Amy Kuhns, MHS; 1996, Debbie Kuhns, & Desiree Kuhns, MHS; 2002; grandparents, Edna Kooyman, Al & Donna Kuhns, Roy & Bonnie Kooyman; & her boyfriend of ten years Stuart McDonald, MHS; 1995. Visitation & services were held at Advantage Colonial Chapel, 4141 North 19th Ave., Phoenix, AZ. on 08-14-2004. ALBERTO "Albert" MARTINEZ, JR.

Born: 03-18-1979
Died: 03-13-2004, at 24 years of age, of Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona

Albert was a member of the MHS freshman football team in 1995, wearing jersey # 64. Albert attended a military preparatory school, where he received his high school diploma. Albert's younger brother is Ricardo Martinez, MHS; 2000. Next of kin: Nadia Abril. Albert is also related to Maria G. Martinez. Visitation was 03/19/2004 at Adventista Del Septimo Dia, 821 West Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona. Interment on 03/19/2004, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Arizona; gravesite location: Section 58, Block 57, Lot 3, Space 5 (lower). Published in the Arizona Republic newspaper, Section B, page 8, on 03/19/2004.

Eugene William Gene Upton

Upton, Eugene "Gene" William 36, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on January 4, 2013. Eugene graduated from Maryvale High School in May of 1998, and was a member of Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church. His hobbies included bowling, swimming, collecting of kangaroos and baseball team pennants; he was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team. Mr. Upton is survived by his mother Kym Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona; his stepfather Juan Uriarte of Sinoloa, Sonora, Mexico; five brothers: Gerald Vargas, Eric "Gailand" Baron, Darrell Upton, Kevin Upton, and Jerry Upton; two sisters: Starla Baron and Marcella Upton-Baron; foster sister Debra Upton Odell; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Upton was preceded in death by his father Clayton Upton, his brother Steve Upton, his paternal grandparents Clyde and Myrtle Upton, and his maternal grandfather James Heil. Mr. Upton's memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 am, at 3730 W. Hazelwood Street, Phoenix, AZ, 85019. Services will be officiated by Reverend Laura Forbes of Faith Lutheran Church of Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Upton made prior arrangements to donate his body for scientific research and education through Biological Resource Center of Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to the family. Donations would be greatly appreciated and may be sent to Kym Wilson, PO Box 1243, Phoenix, Arizona 85001. Mr. Upton will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
