UltraStar Cinemas Grand Opening Gala May 21st

 The thrilling Grand Opening of the new to the Valley UltraStar Cinemas at Waddell & Reems in Surprise, May 21st included a star studded appearance by celeb lookalikes Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Indiana Jones!  Canapés and beverages were flowing endlessly as a virtual who’s who of Surprise and the north valley turned out to enjoy the excitement of this beautiful new venue in the far northwest. .

 The crowds enjoyed taking pictures with Elvis, Marilyn and Indiana Jones. Elvis even wowed the audience with a few songs. He’s about the best Elvis to hit the valley ever with the look, the mannerisms and the voice!

 At midnight premiere of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull filled the 14-screen, state-of-the-art theater with completely digital UltraStar Cinemas’ exclusive Pure Digital Cinema® technology in every auditorium – the crispest, clearest motion picture technology available. The theater will also be equipped with the newest 3-D technology.

 Other feature films available opening week include The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, What Happens in Vegas, Speed Racer and Son of Rambow.

 UltraStar Cinemas also offered the community Pure Digital Cinema® for free May 22 through May 29th with many families taking advantage of the opportunity. Their popular movie programs including its Kidtoons G-rated Family Film Program that will run every weekend and Parent Movie Mornings, a weekly opportunity for new parents to attend a movie with their baby.

 Each theater auditorium at the new UltraStar Cinemas is equipped with comfortable, stadium high-back rocking chair seats with retractable armrests and at the concession stand is UltraStar Cinemas’ signature gourmet popcorn bar including caramel, cheese and kettle corn flavors, among several other favorites.

 While Shoppes at Surprise Pointe mark the first UltraStar Cinemas location to open in Arizona, the company plans to rollout six more Valley theaters over the next three years. for First Arizona Theater

Surprise Location Marks State-Wide Rollout for California Theater Company

 UltraStar Cinemas announced today the opening date of its highly-anticipated first theater in Arizona that will mark its debut in the Valley and the first movie theater for the city of Surprise.

 

At midnight on Wednesday, May 21, UltraStar will open its doors for the first time with the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.  This 14-screen, state-of-the-art theater is one of the first in the Valley to be completely digital and will feature UltraStar Cinemas’ exclusive Pure Digital Cinema® technology in every auditorium – the crispest, clearest motion picture technology available.  The theater will also be equipped with the newest 3-D technology. Located at the southeast corner of Waddell and Litchfield roads at Shoppes at Surprise Pointe, UltraStar will be the first tenant to open at the new mixed-use shopping center.
